Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics – historically, women have been underrepresented in these fields…but it doesn’t mean they weren’t there. The women who were able to break through these barriers often faced sabotage from male colleagues, had their ideas and work stolen, had their names purposely left off professional papers, and were blocked from research equipment. But these brilliant women persevered and continued to create, discover, and invent. Using a computer? Thank a woman. Think it’s cool we went to the moon? Thank a woman. Love that you have caller ID to avoid telemarketers? Yup, you guessed it – thank a woman. Appreciate just being alive? Thank a woman because that’s some next-level superhero sh*t right there.
