19TH AMENDMENT Women's T-Shirt (Grey)

The United States presidential election on November 2, 1920 was the first election in which all American women had the right to vote since the ratification of the 19th amendment on August 18, 1920.  Achieving this milestone was a long and arduous struggle.

Beginning in the 1800s, women organized, petitioned, marched, lobbied and practiced civil disobedience to achieve what many considered a radical change to the Constitution.  It took activists and reformers nearly 100 years to win the right to vote.

One.  Hundred.  Years.

Few early supporters lived to see the final victory in 1920.
